Dimensions of engagement
The key factors of an engaged workforce are really not visible ie when the employees are ready to walk that extra mile for the organisation. But you can measure it indirectly through a lot of other factors:
1. Number of sick leaves
An engaged workforce feels happy coming to office and not otherwise.
2. Number of employees quitting the company.
The relative number of employees quitting the engaged workforce is lesser than a disengaged one.
3. Participation levels in employee forums
Engaged employees participate in full strength and zest in organisation forums, feedback, programs etc.
A few obvious factors but mostly will vary from organisation to organisation and is based on skills/department as well. An engaged workforce is different from a happy workforce.
