Any job search is a process. The best person is not the one who will get the job but the smart one WILL. As you have just three months experience, the hiring company will look at you as a fresher only. You would know by now that cracking a job as a fresher is slightly more challenging as compared to an experienced professional. But if you still want to move on, then first figure out the type of job that you want. You should identify the skill sets you are good at and should look for industries where they fit in. Be flexible and broad based as this will almost be your first job.
Build a professional resume and cover letter. Cover letters are very important! Customise your resume along with a clear cover letter outlining your skills in the field and interest in the particular company. Do highlight your skills and accomplishments.
Apply for both advertised and unadvertised job postings. Keep an eye on job supplements like Times Ascent, employment journals and websites like Naukri.com, Timesjobs.com, Monster.com etc. Post your profile on Linkedin.com and tap into other social media sites as well like Freshersworld.com. Remember, references have the highest success rate in job search, so talk to as many people as possible who are in the jobs that you would like to be in as these discussions often lead to valuable job leads and contacts.
There are instances when people give time limits to job hunt and I strongly advise against it. When you get a rejection, it is a mismatch of expectations and don’t take it personally. You will have more misses than hits in this journey. Enjoy the learnings, pot holes, and the bumps. They bring you close to success. Best of luck!
