Dear Rajiv,
The Internet has completely transformed the job search, with job seekers moving from circling newspaper ads to searching online job boards and using social-media tools. In addition, many companies now recruit and research job candidates using online resources. So, you can use any of the new age portals like Linkedin.com to start your search in the country of your choice.

As you begin your search, there are a couple of things that you may want to know - for a non-technical person it is slightly harder to get a job overseas. For instance, you should know the overseas market, the customers, buying behaviour, language etc. Most importantly, you should have work-visa for employment in that country. Some companies want you to appear for a face to face interview. You should be prepared for it.

You will find it lot easier to migrate to an international assignment from your existing company as they can easily apply for work permit based on your experience with the company. So try and build contacts within your current set up for an overseas assignment also. Happy fixing!
