What to do when suffering insults and harrasment at work?

I am quite new at my new job, only 2 weeks old, but I am excited and they are quite happy with me. However, there is one person that who does not like me at all and keeps insulting me and treating me with bad manners. I have already tried to solve the problem face to face in the most polite way possible and the General Manager is aware of situation. However, the problem persists. I am scared and losing motivation and I really dont want to quit. What can I do to stop this?

Well you are working for yourself and NOT for that colleague!! Also you need to understand for lasting long in an organization your locus of control should be internal. If thats external, then the issues around you would bother you all the time, today if its because of one employee then tomorrow may be someone else and so on and so forth. You tried your best sorting it out, so please be calm now and focus on your work. If everybody appreciates you and one doesnt, thats alright!! So just be yourself!! Good Luck!!
